I doubt it will appeal to your average CS/DotA/WoW preteen, but those are honestly the type of people that drive me to give up gaming. |

I've never been the lie to someones face to get them to do stuff kind of person that marketing seems to require :P. Come play Legendary Voyage we have 24million subscribers, everyone gets a flying mount at level 2 and everyone who signs up to Legendary Voyage Open BETA qualifies for a free ride in a space ship! See what I mean? |

That's honestly the worst part. The whole tile based movemont system isn't exactly one I like, but it COULD be liked. I also took a look into the suggestions and saw some things that (according to one of the devs) couldn't be done in shockwave. So why not redo it in Java? Shit isn't coded. Shit is a byproduct you recieve from giving a programmer resources (coffee) to create something. |

So generally after you have moved around quite a bit most of the common images are cached and there will be no flickering. Outside of this I believe some people using Firefox have had flickering issues but generally if they refresh it usually goes away, as I am sure you can understand as you sound like you are a programmer every single browser works differently and while I can try workarounds for individual browsers really my code is not at fault in such instances. I am the only dev so you are likely referring to one of my posts, the only one I can remember right now is the Q&A section as follows: Q: Is it a flash game? A: No, Legends of Hope is not written using Macromedia Shockwave or any such extensions. We do use a small Flash player for playing MP3 files for music and sound effects but aside from that the game is written entirely in ASP and Javascript and because of that it should work on many more browsers and not require additional downloads/security updates that a flash game might. ..... Essentially Flash games and Java games require third party downloads which do not come with all computers, and may need regular patching ... some people playing these games from work, school or anywhere but home may not have the means to download such products and as such writing a game for Flash/Java can alienate a large portion of the internet. I am not criticising Flash games, there are some very popular ones like Adventure Quest its just that I prefer keeping things simple and by not using Flash or Java it means a bigger potential market. Sure if it was written in Flash/Java it "could" have better graphics but graphics are not the be all and end all of a game, eye candy only works so far and then gameplay has to come into it or a story line :P |

Recent Changes
There have been a number of tweaks over the last few days to improve performance under IE and on slower internet connections. Also a feature some players didn't like where you walked on the spot has been disabled, this is in part as a fix to a problem under IE but also to improve overall performance. The Open BETA is progressing very well with few problems now being reported. |

We now have a new artist on board, as we begin the final push to releasing the game.
He has recently finished the new Cotton Tail monster.
