The free trial is 15 days, then you can't get onto your character anymore and you have to pay to continue playing.

Cred/Debit Card, Cheques
Hourly Prepaid Plan - $8 per 30 hours of in-game time; if you do not use all 30 hours within 6 months, they will vanish.
1 month - $12
3-month Plan - $32.00 ($10.67 Per Month)
6-month Plan - $57.00 ($9.50 Per Month)

Prices for PBC.com are higher by about a dollar or so. It's pricey, but it's worth it.
