Trisphere v1.2.2 Alpha ![]() Information ![]() Trisphere is an online browser based RPG (or PBBG - Persistent browser based game) that allows the user to take the roll of various classes to battle hundreds of enemies in an attempt to become the greatest adventurer. It's a project I've been working for a few years (though technically it mostly consisted of working on it for a day or two and then not looking at it for 10 months). Trisphere is coded using PHP/javascript/ajax/html, and is currently optimized for Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari (though compatible with any browser I've thrown at it so far). Features ![]() Expansive Battle System Explore into various areas of the world, each with their own enemies to defeat. Duel to the death in a strategic turn based combat system. Choose your attacks, from weapon attacks and skills to using deadly elixirs and healing potions. Take the roll of multiple classes, each with dozens of unique skills and abilities. Gain experience to become the strongest adventurer in the land. In-Depth Classes System Step into the role of one of various classes. Each class has their own expansive list of skills to learn and use against their foes. Ranging from a Fighter who specializes in empowering his melee attacks, stunning his enemies, and imbuing his strikes with elemental damage, to a Mage who pulls energies from the 6 elements to do his bidding, you'll find a class that fits you perfectly! Revolutionary Item System Trisphere contains hundreds upon hundreds of items (each with unique sprites) to discover in the world. Every time you find an item it has a chance to get one or two random enchantments (out of hundreds of enchantments), making every item you find unique and powerful. With millions upon millions of resulting items, you'll find something new every day! Not to mention the plethora of items to insert into socketed items to further enhance their potential! And furthermore, when crafting items you can uniquely modify the properties of items by imbuing gems and threads into the items, personalizing the items as you see fit. Innovative Companion System Using magical crystals, tame any of the various monsters you encounter in your travels, and fight alongside them in battles. With active skills and passive auras that enhance your character's abilities, you'll never want to find alone again. And the more you fight alongside your companions, the more powerful they become! ![]() ![]() Equipment Card System Collect a variety of cards from the creatures you defeat, and use them as equipment for your companions. Each card is infused with the power of the creature it drops from, each giving your companion's aura a unique upgrade. Create the perfect combination of cards to greatly increase your companion's aura while in battle. ![]() Screenshots ![]() Sign Up And Play ![]() Signup is currently available at http://trisphere-rpg.com. So if you're interested in browser based RPGs, feel free to check it out today. Why I'm Posting ![]() Currently I'm in a very early stage of the game, and lack much of a community. Because of this, I'm developing it based entirely on my own ideas. However, I realized that in order to make it a truly enjoyable game, I need the ideas of people other than myself, so that it can appeal to a wider audience. Because of this, any and all ideas, suggestions, problems, and especially criticisms will greatly help my development. So if you could give it a try and let me know what you think, it would be awesome. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the game.

Totally understandable. If I had the resources for dedicated servers I might have went with the route of not using energy. Although, lately I've also been liking the whole "limited play", where a game only takes a small chunk of time a day (since I have other stuff taking up most my days already), so that's another reason I like the whole energy route. But it's definitely not for everyone. =)

Yeahhhh... well I signed up and I'm playing it
. It's actually very good! Just one question, how fast does fatigue recover? I know energy is like 250 every 12 hours (read the forums).EDIT: NVM I decided to read through the help section , I missed it at first.

Yeah, you'll get more players if you increase the amount of energy/fatigue.

The first is the infinite energy route. This route means that you can play a lot more per day, and you won't get bored having to wait for energy. With this route, whoever puts the most time into playing the game gets the highest level everything. The second route is the limited energy route. This limits your play per day, and once you've spent your energy you must wait for the next energy tick to take actions. With this route, the game rewards the people who play the most strategically, not wasting their energy on weak monsters they can one shot, but fighting strategically using skills in order to take out higher monsters to get most XP per energy spent. The second route also, by limiting your play, is something you can do on the side. Sure, you can't spend 6 hours farming monsters, but as long as you set aside that 30 minutes to an hour a day, you can be competitive in the game. You don't have to worry that you'll never be able to catch up to the user who has time to spend 15 hours on the game every day. So it gives more people a chance to be "good", rewarding strategy not time spent. Also, because the item system in the game is so heavily focused on, limiting energy helps modulate the rarity of items and the economy (but that's a very minor issue). There are people who love games of the first route (I am also one of them), and there are people who love games of the second route (the one I took, I am also one of these people). For example, I personally play World of Warcraft, and that is more than enough to waste almost all the free time I have. But when I play web games also, because I already spend my time on another game, I like something that I can be competitive in without spending another 40 hours a week playing. Oh, not to mention, server costs play a large role in it! (If I had a billion dollars to spend to make a game, it would have turned out very differently, especially since I could hire an artist and it would probably end up being a 2d MMORPG written in C++). But yeah, I wish I could please everyone, but unfortunately that's not an option. =( I mean, you guys would like more energy to play longer, but earlier on the first impressions I got on the game were (wow this takes too long every day I don't have enough free time for this). So personally I am trying to strike a balance between the two things, but it's hard, since most people seem to want one of the two extremes, either a game that they can play in 5 minutes a day, or a game that they can play for 6 hours a day. =( I may change my stance on this down the road... We shall see!
