So I been playing Jade Dynasty today thought id give my initial impressions and perhaps hear yours..

Crisp graphics / smooth controls as I figured it would since its PW engine and it inded does have both these elements.

Great skill list basicaly several skill trees to choose from within each class at different tier (lvls) as well as tomes which are similar to world of warcraft talent points where you can increase your skills.

Espers, very cool addition to yourself basicaly extra power is always good however espers lead to a major downfall that I can see. BOTING

Espers allow you to turn on a bot that will cast set skills / esper skills chug potions loot everything. Basicaly its sword of the new world with 1 char bot dynasty and thats a major downside for me I prefer to play when I play.

In addition to this style of boting you can use dream sleep items to gain exp while your offline? From what I hear its mad leveling as well more than you can get while online? Basicaly you buy dream item from item shop and get free levels so you can come on and turn on auto bot while not sleep lvling?

Overall the game has some potential lots of different item enhancments like magical properties refinment +1 +2 and great skill list etc the game very playable but the boting is major zzz factor in my eyes.

Id give it a 6 or maybe a 7 out of 10 best case, Ill be trying Neo steam if it sucks might play more JD but the boting and sleep lvling is kinda silly I prefer to play.

What do you guys think so far?

The game sucks it basically an ether saga clone. I don't like ether saga so why would I like a reskined game of it. I really wonder what's in store for PW and their games. I mean are all they games gonna be the same reskin crap.

you cant expect them to have a new engine for every single new game, can you ? unless they have unlimited fund, since they develope their own games. Other developers doesn't seem to be churning out the same looking games cause they usually sell their games to different publishers.

Perfect World, Jade Dynasty and Chibi Online uses the same engine, while Ether Saga and Q-World uses a modified version of the original engine.

Their next few games will be using a different engine, seeing that they have 2 diablo-style MMO out, one which is dark like Diablo and one which is overdosed cuteness. They will then have Jade Dynasty 2, which will be revealed later this year.

Hopefully its a different engine.

Do a search on Project Em here in the forums, think something great is coming up from them.

And they said they will be revealing a new English game at the upcoming E3 in June, I'm guessing its Chibi Online or the Diablo-like MMO. Hopefully not Chibi Online since its yet another game using the same engine >...<

FYI Jade Dynasty / Zhu xian online is made first before Ether saga and yeah they are both made by Perfect World Co. so really expect all of their games have the same gameplay elements but is good.

Only good thing is Auto Movement using map D;

Man Neosteam needs to hurry and come out so I can try that instead of playin this

I find Jade Dynasty to be a very unique game , I like the storyline and the different types of quests. Yes it does use the PW Engine, but if something ain't broke. Why fix it? Do you realize how many games use the same engine? Such engines as the Unreal 3 engine, the Hero engine, the Havoc engine, and the Physx engine. So why hate on Perfect World Entertainment, because their trying to save money on using the same engine for all their games. Its their right to do so, cause it their engine. Plus no one is forcing you to play their games.

if any1 complains about the engine there crazy the graphics were clean and movemnt nice smooth good wasd controls with a jump and the auto move to any where u click on map was sweet as well.

Im still playing it for now anyways till I check out neo steam and then Ill likely pick 1 of the 2 to play for abit.

The issues I had with the game is that there really is not much to do compared to other games, the UI is fricken horrible, it's another copy of the other 10,000 asian themed mmo's and the UI is fricken horrible.

Yep, JD was before ESO.
But both of these did not do as well as PW did.

Just a little difference in graphics and that is all. I hope they bankrupt. For gods sake be original for once
