Default Diablo 2.

Whats so good about Diablo 2? I played it and cleared the first dungeon and it felt no where near as amazing as people say it is.

Should I give it another go?

diablo2 shines when playing online with friends, when they support each other with different skills/auras/buffs.
Try reaching 1st boss - Andariel, or finding 1st unique item.
All in all if you aren't a fan of action rpg's then diablo2 wont make you any impression. For fans diablo2 is PERFECT in all aspects (especially in smooth combat system), thats why eveyone is comparing other arpgs with d2

I think most of it's just nostalgia. You gotta remember the game is 9 years old and only getting older. Anyway, the game can actually be pretty addicting if you give it a chance. In my opinion, the item system is the best thing about D2.

I love the boss fights and dungeon runs, and able to create your own items with the cube by putting gems and socket weapons.

just run back to the place u died and click on the corpse, u will get everything back. Actually there is no good way to make money in the beginning, try collecting all blue items, gems, avoid white items and sell them. In the 3rd quest u should get a lil bit richer, because in tristram there are quite o lot of loot waiting for you and then deckard cain will identify your items for free.

I never really got into Diablo 2 much. I played halfway through the second chapter and just got bored of it. D= The fun part is the online play, like vanagace said, but I've never been much of an online person so the game never appealed much to me.

I actually miss the original Diablo. T.T I wish I could play it again...

I found it fun because of the dueling, it's a verrrrrry gear-dependant game however, so expect to spend a lot of time grinding places over again for gear, then selling it on d2jsp.com for FG, then buying the crap you need, I probably spent as much time on d2jsp as I did on the game itself.
