I'm a shaman female, and that works pretty well for me. Heck I'm a newbie too just started yesterday. I have a gunner, spearman (upgraded but can't remember the name lol), archer and Viking. I'm level 20 already. I suggest joining a guild, or joining parties. It's hard as heck to get invited to a party for a newbie though. LOL. Well it's a fun game, I just don't like the turn based fighting that much, or the stamina. I play in Thebes, username is Ayasine, Xfire I'm niahflame.

Hi welcome in the forums, were glad to have a new female player here^^having a party is not that actually that hard, because unlike other games your party mates should be at least near you to gain exp, in atlantica you can have long distance party you can invite people from your peers or buy Bewitching scroll where in you can invite monster to join your party and give you equal exp to your mercs^^ hope it helps^^

Yup Axe is a good main he's strong and has large Hp so you cant die easy, even if you are a front liner. Just make sure you have a good support set up. You can have at least 1 healer and 1 monk the rest is up to you depending on your style.

I agree. Im an axe main... and I'm loving my 2xmonk+ prophet. I have no healers but that's enough for me.

I started with a Sword since it's known to be the basic of weapons and job classes. I like the good balance of offense and defense. A friend too chose an Axe and he said he's having a hell of an easy time.

I suggest having a variety of mercenaries. Don't employ only sword-wielders or ranged attackers. Balance is a very important factor.

but once you acquire almost all of the mercs, you can experiment on which formation best suits you

but I guess it'll be pretty expensive to manage

You said it remaru. Especially the Spartan, Pirate and the Elementalist. You have to be a billionaire in order to obtain those mercs.

Not just that, also think of the crystals/jewels to upgrade it.
