I take it your starting out fresh with coding and developing.
If you mean you want some code to make a male character (3D model) its near enough not the way things go in creating the graphics or game, I'm afraid. Graphics are separate from code. These are not made by code either, most commonly. They are produced within a 3D modeller. So monsters, crates, tree's etc all are produced visually within a 3D modeller. No code involved in heir production. They also use images for the textures. Also produced outside of coding, in image editing software. These are applied to the model to give it colour, details etc. Take a read through this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_modeling To make a character, or anything, depending on the engine your using, the coding language your using as well, and how far in the game development you are. Maybe take a look here: http://www.gamingw.net/forums/index.php?topic=77282.0 Nothing is easy, it may take a while to even get a first game going in any form, but the best way to start is from the bottom up. With the most basic going to the more complicated. Provided its in your interests. Your skills can ever grow, so there's really no limit to what you could end up doing in, maybe, 5 years time, after learning a programming language. Of course your not limited to programming there is the visual side of things, even audio. (Though its better to go with either programming of visual, audio don't really make a game )There are free game makers, no programming needed, just click together things like actions. These can be really good when you get to know them. These help in understanding how games work and are made. I recommend Game maker http://www.yoyogames.com/make It can't do everything, like make a huge MMORPG or big 3D game, but does basics with some advanced stuff. You can still make playable, enjoyable games. Which can be more worthy of time, if done well. Still, programming C, C++, java etc, worth looking into and learning. The basics come first. Now I am assuming that your not familiar either game development, since I see other posts you have made, no problem, everyone starts somewhere. ![]() Correct me if I'm wrong.
