ActionScript is a programming language that you can use with Flash, a multimedia platform. ActionScript allows you to implement more interactivity in your Flash application.

Yes, it is definitely possible to make a side-scrolling game with Flash and ActionScript.

Well I dont want to make side-scrolling games! I want the games to be in movement like Zelda!

That's possible too. Generally, unless something is specifically made to make a certain type of game, it can make all types of games, within reason. While Flash might not be able to make a 3D game like Far Cry or anything, it should be able to make most types of 2D games, including the 2D Zelda style game.

Well, you should learn some sort of networking library, and generally learn how the internet works. That's the first step.
