Default Favorite Under-rated and Hardly Known Animes

MY favorite hardly known anime is:

Baccano!

Out of the hundreds of animes I've seen, it easily tops the charts.
The anime is not underrated because its always rated with 9s-10s, but hardly anyone has even heard of it.
Or they stopped watching after first episode because they were confused. Once you watch the 2nd episode, you're usually hooked.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica/ Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica Crimson S

Rozen Maiden (Not in Japan perhaps, but definitely under-rated in my country)

H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~

And pretty much all the Yuri anime out there, haha.

I could have listed you more than severals of these under-rated and hardly known ones back maybe 2 years ago (that's the point in time where anime occupies alot of my life).

But my interest for anime is burning up lately, the latest being the first two bolded anime I mentioned.

Oh and yes, Baccano is definitely one the best one out there.

Immortality and the shuffling of plots are something worth of definite mention.

The reason why it's getting such low popularity: It has a mature theme instead of the generic moe stuffs (I'm not saying it's bad) which is one of the main pulling factor to draw audience.

what about manga? sanctuary is one of the best manga I've ever read, the name describes it pretty well.

and ergo proxy is probably one of the best "non-mainstream" anime i've seen.

Yup, allthough hajime no ippo isnt under-rated or hardly known, just overlooked. Because most people will just instantly say, "eh a sports anime, no thanks" without a second thought. But the way people find out is usually by recommendation.
