Well, again, I do appreciate all the feedback. Though I'm going to stick with this script and my design untill we make enough to invest in something better or modify this one further. As for coding in authentic US cities, I'm sticking with my plan which actually has most of the worlds capitals coded in. not JUST american cities
This way, gangs can establish base in whichever city they feel comfy in. Like there's Tokyo, where the Yakuza could rule, rome, jerusalem, london, dublin. etc.
It just feels more international that way

Well sorry to say this but as long as you have that script not many people are going to jump into this game, i'm definately not going to. =/ it's a shame, lots of potential, good luck.

We're just fixing a bug with the exp code and then we're good to go. Shouldn't take more than a couple of days, we're getting help from some pro coders.

And about the Mace, well the game's got a bit of fun/fantasy to it too right. Different houses available are Dog Kennels, Stolen Camper etc.
Even the weapons, while you will find the odd item like Clunky old laptop, a brick, a mace, shurikens. It's just a bit of fun

I've tried a few mafia games and, honestly, only 1 was appealing -> Gangsterhood. Simple, easy to get addicted and needs real player interaction to achieve something. I'm not saying for you to copy it but give it a try and it might inspire you to add something to your game that might do a difference.

I have been doing some research on my own. Since I've been playing mafia games for over 4 years now, I know what keeps me hooked to a new one and what drives me away.

What keeps me hooked
1. Easy initial levelling
2. Active community
3. Active and helpful staff
4. Plenty of cash and point competitions to help everyone grow strong quick

What drives me away
1. Bad coding
2. Spelling errors everywhere, in item descriptions, in game, forums, etc.
3. Bad items, extremely cliche weapons,
4. Staff getting extremely competitive and abusing their powers and authority


So I'm focussing on the good stuff on my game. I shall be giving away lots and lots of freebies, including donator packs, points, cash, the works. People will like the game if they can level up quick and have attractive gameplay options.

what turns me off? the script you're using. things that don't make sense. what makes a mace stronger than a knife? or like the best weapon being a freakin bazooka. who the fck uses a bakooza, HOW do you conceal that, and HOW do you hold it 24/7. also a immature community. also really stupid pictures. like "hire bodyguard" then it's some picture of a white guy with a jacket and a bald head. is that supposed to scare someone?
