You either:

1.Did not have the CD to install the drivers.
2.Have a non-compatible card (but theres alot of them, so this one won't be it).
3.Have a crappy Power Supply.
4.Probably broke your motherboard (maybe not).

Tell us what card you have and how much watts your psu can distribute. Your best bet will either be, number 1 or number 3.
