Default Is this too much of a stupid idea...?

Hello all.

I am working on (with two programmers and another artist) an MMO. Is the idea too stupid, though? Should we continue working?
-5 jobs: Warrior, mage, thief, hunter, and healer.
-Obviously, quests. Mostly they are "I need to make a present for so-and-so's birthday, can you get me these drop items then give them to me?" Although some can be "Please kill so and so many of these monsters."
-Guild Games, where they work together to finish puzzles and get through mini dungeons.
-Max level = 150
-6 total "worlds" with about 5 towns in them
-In the middle of each world, there is a dungeon with a high-leveled boss at the end.

Suggestions? Critique? Please help!

Sincerely,
Lollicat

Well the first two points are pretty normal for many MMORPG's can't think of many that do not have such quests or around the same amount of classes/jobs.
Many games have max level too.

The other points, well I do not know personally of any mmorpgs with the same designs, (not to say there are not, I have not played many) but they seems like interesting ideas.

They don't seem stupid the least.
Work on them and develop them to become something different from many other games.

Thank you! I will definitely do those ideas listed then. Do you have any other ideas I may want to also include?

Well, just keep things original. Many games seem top be turning away from originality. Also including the story.
Of course that does not mean don't do what everything mmorpg does, otherwise it may not attract the majority. Things like skills, special abilities, PvE, PvP, not limited to just those though.

Doing a bit of research on the sort of things that affect people the most in mmo's can help develop ideas. Like grinding, or pvp combat. Skills and their effects and much more.

As long as you provide an excellent storyline to go along with it, good graphics, and a fairly nice set of abilities and tradeskills you'llve already surpassed 80% of the MMOs on the market today ^^

Can I just say now, after reading the jobs I got bored. It's all this fantasy "thief" "mage" crap which is all so common. Try something different, for instance in a game I play, there's Tanker, Scrapper, Blaster, Peacebringer, Warshade...something more original than warrior etc.
