i suggest just play one you think you may like to lvl 20 and if your not entirely sure roll another class and do the same.

a class you think you will like may end up and boring you and vise versa.

the best advice i can give is don't worry about hitting max lvl asap

Just enjoy the game and when you are comfortable with your class/race choice get to 80

i also suggest ignoring what people say like "hunters are for retardeds" or "locks are for scrubs" just play what you enjoy and the opinions of other people won't mean squat.

That guy on the other page just blasted you with all the informationyou would probably need lol.

But as for your questions, i think warlocks are fun because they have a lot of cool abilities and play styles. Like destro which is basically a nuker, or affliction which has massive dot damage, they can summon demons, and i just personally like the style of warlocks play.

As for a range dps hyrbid, druids would probably be your best bet. Druids are a pretty fun class, you got trees(resto healers) which are hard to kill in pvp, imo a well played resto druid is the hardest class to kill in the game. Then you have boomkins,(balance spec) which is your range dps, like said before i've never heard any complaints form boomkins, but thier not the top dps druids. Finally you have feral which is the top dps druid, and tank, and probably one of the best dpser right now. Some peoplesay it's one of the hardest rotations. In feral you have 2 forms bear form(tanking) which works similarly to a warroir, and cat form(dps) which works similar to a rogue.

You should check out some videos on youtube of them at lvl 80, also you can check out websites like wowhead.com which has alot of info on everything. You can get a list of all the classes spells to see what your in store for.

I play a frost / frostfire mage. Using Frost for PVP mostly.

If your really a PvP Whore then you want to rll either Human or Undead as they have both have a racial that free's you from entrapping effects freeing up a trinket spot.

Warlocks are annoying no doubt. The whole DOT and Fear endlessly is highly irritating. Though Locks are great in single player pvp / world pvp, and Areana's. In Battle Grounds they hold their own, but there's people like me that shoot to kill off locks fast for their annoyance.

Arcane, and Frost mages are bad ***, Super high numbers and easily pulling DPS in the 2.5K Range at level 80, once geared. Fire mages hit really hard too, but lack the burst damage of arcane, and the surviveability of frost, and for the most part I consider fire to be pve support spec.

Just my 2 cents.

2.5k dps at level 80 is not very high especially interms of a mage.

My Death Knight was doing 2.5k dps in question blues when i first hit 80

and fire mages aren't what i'd consider pve support since they do insane dps especially if they have amplify magic on them.

Don't completely rule out shadow priests either.

I have a ton of fun playing as one.
I might not hit the DPS charts as high as a warlock or mage, but it isn't too bad and they're fun to play as.

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

I'm actually thinking about joining again and rolling another priest.

As for mage, warlock and huntard, I'd honestly go with a mage. They are really fun for PvP once you get the hang of it. Warlock and hunter both kinda bore me, both PvP and PvE wise. (only my opinion, and what's fun for me may not be for others, and vice versa.)

Default WoW.

L80 Mage here, brilliantly fun, amazing dps, great for farming.
Downside:
There're lots of mages. You may not find a raid/ guild spot very easily.
When levelling, you WILL be sitting down drinking A LOT.

Warlock:
Always wanted in raids and guilds.
Fun for your first character, got bored of mine, they're quite complicated, too much fiddling about.

Hunter:
No.

I'm currently leveling my druid, or was but I quit 3 months ago, starting again soon

Out of the 3 choices you listed.

Don't go for hunter, they're the ez-class of WoW and are not really a challange to play.

Mages are a bigger challange pumping out some serious direct damage of the three you listed & are also very wanted for their buffs/food&drinks/portals

Warlocks are as easy to level as hunters but take more skill to play lategame, also with the right gear/spec you can litteraly own an enitre battleground with 1 backup healer.

If it was me personally I'd go for mage "LOLOL POM PYROOOO"

have you played a hunter? A hunters rotation is almost twice as long as a mage. And i hate to break it to you, but all classes in wow are "ez". All these people get on a bandwagon of "lululul hunters are easy mode" , or "huntards" when they never have played one. But i can tell you from experience of playing and doing research of almost all dps specs that a hunters isn't the easiest. Play a arcane or frostfire mage, oomkin, or ret pally. Those have the smallest of all rotations, and pretty much no micro managing. And im not saying a hunter is difficult to play, because its not. Neither is any other dps spec in the game besides maybe a feral druid which has a bit of a learning curve.

My point: Don't listen to the bandwagon insults, none are true. If you think a hunter is fun, then play it. But be warned, hunters do pretty bad in arena if you plan to doing that. Btw hunters/locks/and mages do about the same dps right now, so go with watever you think is fun.
