Hi guys, I wasn't really sure where to put this thread, but I really need some help. I have tried almost everything to get rid of lag.
Got Game booster (turns off all unused processes) Defragmented (With Power Defragmenter and Contig) My RAM is 3 gigabites My graphics card is great (I forgot where to find the actual name of it, but I know thats not the problem) If it helps my processor is AMD Turion (tm) 64 X2 TL-60 2.00 Ghz I've lowered my graphics settings Cleaned out useless programs on my laptop (got rid of about 10 gigabites) I have DSL and if thats the problem thats not really good because I can't change that I dont think thats the problem though, but maybe I'm wrong. Oh and it's not just Guild Wars, its Combat Arms and 9Dragons and a ton of other games. Can anyone help?

Depends on what you mean by lag.
Latency issues, it's your internet. FPS issues, it's your computer. And from your specs, you shouldn't be having any FPS issues. I've got a lesser computer, (AMD 64bit 3000+ 2.0ghz single core, nvidia 7600gt, 1.5gb ram) and I never ever lag at any point.

ive been playing guildwars for some years now and the only laggs you may have is because of ur internett connection. Try sit closer to ur router box. And it also could be because someone else in ur house is using the internett or the phone takes ur internett when it rings. You could also try change some settings in the guildwars setup. Hit ''F11'' when ur logged in into GW.
Hopes it helps

Well I don't think it's the router because I tried hooking up my laptop directly to the internet so I wasn't on Wifi and it worked just fine, then I hooked it back up to the router and it still worked just fine. But then it started to lag again and I hooked my computer directly to the internet instead of the router once again and it was still lagging. If this is an internet problem is there anything i can do without getting something besides dsl?

Go to your desktop, right click GW icon and go to "Properties". Under the "Shortcut" tab, add in "-diag" (omit the " ") at the end of your GW.exe in "Target". (E.g. "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" - diag) Launch your GW and it shall run a diagnosis report. Send that report to GW support team.
