Been following the VN's storyline quite well. Even though they seem to be rushing things. Skipping some important details, but I guess it's doing fine.
They are currently in episode 2, about two episodes left before episode 3 begins. |

Oh, you had Lambdadelta on your avatar so I kinda thought you knew.
![]() Several people are trapped in an island that is enclosed by a typhoon when mysterious murders start to happen. There's a legend that says that a witch (Beatrice) is the owner of this island and that this might be her doing. The main character, Battler, doesn't believe in magic and witches, and struggles to find the human culprit. Overall, the whole series is about the battle between Beatrice and Battler: Battler denies witches and Beatrice doesn't like this, she wants to make him surrender so she can win the "game". Her power is "Endless magic", which means she can revive and kill people endlessly, so that's how she prepares the "table" for each game: she revives everyone then kills them in different ways, making it hard for Battler to believe it was done by humans. Then some other witches come along: Bernkastel, which looks a LOT like Rika and might be related (Bernkastel mentions that she was once a part of a game as well) and Lambdadelta, which looks a lot like Miyo from Higurashi and which might also be related. It's a battle between the anti-fantasy and the anti-mystery sides. |

I dunno what Higurashi is like (bout to start watching that now) but I def like how this story is being told. The way Battler has to play the game is pretty interesting as well; Words of truth = win.
Is Higurashi a good mystery like this one though?

@Abhorsen
This is much better than Higurashi.. I recommend everyone to play the visual novel though. The anime in my opinion isnt that good.. its quite bad. But the visual novel is really awesome.. Anyway. a few days ago i got Umineko Episode 5. it finally arrived >< Been playing it, even though my Japanese still isnt that good.. Anyway Episode 5 is a huge shock. The new BGM'S are really awesome to. Well i wont go into detail... Otherwise it will be a huge spoiler. |
