Street Fighter 4 is by far the hardest. The AI characters are relentless in comparison to the older games, and the basic game pads (360 and PS3) are terrible for the game.

What you mean to do:
shoryuken:
Right, bottom left, bottom right, punch.

What happens most of the time:
Hadoken:
Down, bottom right, right, punch.

I'd like to point out that this is not a button masher and issues like this can really screw your game.
The keyboard will be allot easier to use. But I'd always recommend a popper arcade stick.

And charge is easy

All you do is hold a direction for about 2 seconds before continuing with the rest of the move.

And about Ryu, Ken, and Akuma. Really, really not the case. Sagat, Chun-Li, Gen, Balrog (or Bison if you go by the original Japanese names),M.Bison (Vega), and Vega (Bison), are all heavily used.

Get a gamepad for sure, you can't pull off the moves where you have to rotate your analog stick (well I think you can but its really hard). Make sure you can control your nerdrage though, cause you will nerdrage alot. I threw my gamepad on the couch yesterday after a sweaty session on 'Easiest' mode versus Seth and now my PC won't recognize it. Had to tape up the cable and now it kinda works.

well i bought SF4 on Steam for 34.99 bout a min ago , and keyboard rocks console controls in any game too me fighting game is no different, but im also rockin an adapter to play with arcade pad and shi if i wanted too ;o

Have fun playing with keyboard, does not hold a candle to an arcade stick. Especially if you want to play a character as technical as Viper.

The game runs beautifully on PC, full settings, AA, everything and I love how Watercolor looks.

SFIV single player is ez mode.
