They totally fell asleep on top of the Start Button but it's not fully pressed.

That's why I hate GameGuard I wish they'd use something else. It installs a service "npsvr.exe" or something like that and loads when Windows starts and it spys your computer (Google it if you don't believe me!) If you want try stopping that service from running at startup and then restarting and see if that helps?
