I've avoided Dofus this entire time (probably because the name sounds like "Doofus") but I'm stuck with a crappy computer for a week so I thought i'd check it out. Anything interesting/important to know about the game before I jump in?

is not really a free game anymore , the classes and tactics are unique like the drunken panda class can be fun i guess

I found it to be fun, and the world has an art style and feeling all its own. The company is currently working on Wakfu which is basically Dofus 2.0.

Yep, if you like turn based strategy games.

There's 12 classes with their own spells, great boss fights, Alignment PVP, housing, mounts & pets, guild wars . U'd have to pay to enjoy the full game, but its only 7.99 a month

Its a fun game if you have people to play with. I played solo on my Feca from lvl 26 to 50, as I wasn't very useful in partys and I had extremely low attack power. Other Fecas say it gets better at lvl 70 when we get burning glyph attack, but I couldn't grind solo for that long. I just quit from being bored out of my mind. But all in all like I said, its fun if you have people to play with. There is a bunch of diffrent crafting / gathering abilities you can get, along with the battle system and the beginner dungeon, dofus is a pretty good time waster IMO.

In the beginning area, as a F2P you will notice incarnam is overrun by bots. But once you go out into Astrub you will see alot less bots.

Actually Dofus 2.0 is a completely different thing from wakfu, lulz

much needed graphic revamp and other crap that they will do to dofus in a while to improve it

wakfu is pretty nice, and its in an open beta, so you can play for free, it will entertain you no doubt for a few days atleast if you liked it

dofus is old now, very old. The graphics alone are eck. It's a good game, definitively entertaining. The funnest stuff is the dungeons, which are did with teams, and the bosses, and the angel versus demons pvp. But I don't think it's worth the monthly price they ask for it. I think the price they're asking for monthly is unreasonable.

Oh yeah, dofus is good game, u can craft lots of things, cook bread, cut trees, etc.

Its realy worth to try it,

Dofus would be worth playing if it were free and had a cash shop like it should have been two years ago when it was already old. If you are going to pay for the game, then play it. It will entertain you even though the whole turn based thing is kind of annoying. If you don't pay for it, it will be a massive waste of time and you will hate yourself for trying it.
