The scandal was referring to was her lying under oath. The CIA presented paperwork and further proof that Pelosi knew full well what went own with the Gitmo (since I'm not gonna try to spell it out); yet, she constantly exclaimed that she never knew what took place there . . . even though the CIA is required to constantly update Congress members about the status of their activities. The second part, however, is not so much the Left trying to get their own into the office more so than trying to make a republican official who had recently been in a lot of new the past few years look horribly bad, more so as a tarnish to the Republican party (most will remember her stepping down, rather than a Republican taking her place). And it's not to say that the ones attacking her were closely affiliated to the Democratic whole. It could have been a small group of Leftists or what ever. My point being that forcing any elected official out by any means of foul play is wrong and disrespectful. Frankly, I fully believe partisan based politics is too corruptible and unfair. It creates a clear boundary between ideas, and ultimately allows people to become biased based solely on a side for no reason. Officials should run free from parties, and the people should listen to the ideas being presented, and the problems at hand, and not vote purely because the candidate is Republican or Democratic. @ncyphe: Yea, the left is always the one trying to **** everyone up;
Like Nixon was forced to bug Watergate, just because it became part of the businesses to sweep the garbage-bins of the opposing election committee and now he failed to be able to secure an advantage in "field intel"otherwise? The one who has the power over the executive branch usually uses it to execute it's powers; That is probably a pain in the *** to those who lost, but whining is just cheap loosing. Are you somewhat new to politics? Hilarious adjective you trying to maneuver in under the radar... It's not just a ballgame, it's THE ballgame. All thoughts I have on the issue are: Populism is always those three three things: - Insufficient reforms - Lack of operative administration - Public debate replaced with BS issues All three are the case and oddly enough reasons why Palin resigned; Probably the first step in a direction away from that course, but you can't change horses in the midst of the rapids. She'll either have to drop politics or face that the issues she will deal with because of her background do not matter and are of an indecent nature. (Yea and now you can make a list with republican agendas and you will find all their core values connected to this political principle.)
