Mission Statement:
NEOTOKYO° is a first person shooter that aims to provide a visceral & realistic combat experience in a rich futuristic setting.

Background Story and World:
NEOTOKYO° takes place in and around a fictionalized Tokyo approximately 30 years in the future. Mankind has begun to fuse with technology. Government and corporate corruption have transformed Tokyo into a deadly dystopian nightmare. After a near-successful military coup by ranking members of Jinrai, the National Security Force (NSF) is formed - answering directly to the Prime Minister, it's mission is to investigate and eliminate all threats to Japan, both abroad and at home. The initial core of the NSF is made from an exodus from within the intelligence branch of the military. With this betrayal begins the war in the shadows between the NSF and Jinrai.

I can attest to that. I've been playing it since release a few hours ago. It's definitely worth a go. A lot of effort was put into the game, you can plainly see that. Level design is quite beautiful. Classes are pretty well balanced from what I've seen. The gameplay is also rather unique to most First Person, run n' gun, shooters on the market right now. Tactical really is the -only- way to survive in this game.

It makes for a great level of teamwork and cooperation on a large scale. I suggest giving it a go to anyone who owns the Source Engine.

Can anyone tell me how well the graphics customization is? I can BARELY run Half life 2, with a bunch of hacks to make the graphics suck. What are the chances of being able to run this?

pretty low cause i heard ppl with lower end comps using the visions and having their fps drop to 3

The game is definitely not for someone with a lower-end computer. It's not graphically amazing or anything, but the ability to run at least TF2 equivalent smoothly is a requirement.

This mod is fun as hell. About as close to a tactical shooter as I've played since Rogue Spear.
