Pretty much this sums it up.

I went in not expecting much and behold it felt like a F2P. I mean I never felt like that with any game that wanted money Even AOC did not felt like this.

The quests are dull as hell the story is just bad.

This game offers very little and I doubt it will last in the MMO market.

Oh and yes I do like wow, Yes I still play wow, and yes I'm still looking for something to move on to. My last hope is ending up being two games The new FF mmo and LOTRO.

Pretty much what people say is : "I once played the perfect game(Atleast it seemed that way to you at the time), and now I can't move onto something else because all MMO's are the same!"

What you should probably do is just take some time off, and some single-player games, and/or spend more time outside. Not saying you don't spend enough time outside already, as that is a common misconception, but if no MMO out right now is good for you, then go find something else to do than MMOs.

And what is wrong with that?

So you are saying it is something wrong with the people because they like one game over the other? Why eat a rotten Orange when you have a fresh one that is better? They are selling something and want other players to play yet they toss out this turd of a game like it is the coming of a new dawn.

It is not the players fault either..I want a mmo to come out to compete with blizzard badly. Not only will that make wow even better in the future..but it will also give players better options. Right now no company has come close to coming out with a mmo that can pull people in right at the start and that is what is killing the mmos.

Really it all comes down to Bioware I hope that they don't drop the ball but from what I'm reading it seems like they know what it takes for a mmo to make it in todays world..Something Aion sure as hell does not it seems.

I never said anything was wrong with people liking something better than something else. I'm just saying people should stop complaining as much as they do. There's no need to continue to bash a game without giving both the good points and the bad points.

And please not, I'm not refering directly to this thread. Just some MMO players in general are known to do that alot.

I wasn't even trying to flame anyone. I was just saying that if you are finding that alot of MMOs are lame to you and none of pleasing you at the moment, then maybe it's time to move onto something else to get you out of the MMO feel. Because let's face it, most of them are the same thing.. some more than others.

True enough and Did not mean to sound like I was attacking. I'm just let down pretty badly with this game but I've been let down by alot that has come out.

I might be looking far to much into it but I want a good storyline to go with it. Wow is lacking the rpg flavor that I've gone to miss in games and LOTRO a great storyline..but gameplay was boring.

nvm i found out beta servers suck more than regular, i forgot that it was beta servers since the beautiful graphics amazed me.. i can play all this shit on high!! geeze i love this game.. its RLY fun, altho its not quite addicting... maybe cuz im only lvl 7 atm and a warrior who cant get his hands on a 2h weap b4 10.. or wings .. but ive seen ppl fly, and dam bro they rly FLY and fast.. its like free transportation.. i think i may get the colectors edition..

this game is new, and yes it needs a LOT more to be added, but tbh i rly look for a game about graphics n gameplay, and Aion has similar combat style to WoW, and i was a WoW addict, raider / pvper.. so aion is kinda my thing i guess i mean, its something not every1 would like but surely i'd rather choose it..

I dont know why we keep arguing bout this...we all know this is Onrpg, the place where P2P = teh Devil and that kind of games must be shot down at first glance

had Aion been F2P, all those that are debasing it nonstop would frantically bounce on their chairs nearly dying in anticipation ,and would happily kill their grandmas if that meant +10kb/s of download speed

for this same reason i'd look for something else to play, and wouldnt give Aion a second look.if i have to play along with people like that i'd rather stick to console games

See, that's the thing. Aion sucks too much to be p2p, and is too good to be f2p. Most dangerous place a game can get it self into. I still say it would have done good with a cash shop.

Eh woah woah woah. Im sorry but explain one thing to me. If you like WoW then you must at least be able to accept Aion for what it is. Not saying they are the same game. But they do the exact same thing for the first 20 levels.

Give you piles of quests to do until you get to do instances, dungeons, raids, pvp.

Now tell me how you are able to see what this game offers in 20 levels? If you dislike the game fine anyone who dislikes the game would have quit in the first 2 levels of the game but saying it offers nothing and saying you like WoW just doesnt make sense.

In WoW as soon as you log in you just talk to people getting quests until you get into the main part of the game. In Aion they do the exact same thing. In WAR they do the exact same thing. AoC is the only exception since in AoC level 1-20 was amazing and after that the game turned into every other mmorpg.

I dont get how peoples minds think. I dont like comparing but seriously compare the first 20 levels of Aion to the first 20 levels of WoW and tell me which one you enjoyed more.
