Here are the ones I read and enjoyed.

Author/ series

Brent Weeks/ The Night Angel trilogy

Terry Goodkind/ The Sword of Truth

Robin Hobb/ Fit'z Chilvary series

Tad Williams/ Memory,Sorrow and Thorn

Tad Williams/ The War of the Flowers

Elizabeth Haydon/ Symphony of Ages

Robert Jordan/ The Wheel of Time

Kate Elliot/ Crown of Stars

And those were only a few I could think of at the moment.

Thanks guys I'll be looking into most of those. As for amazon, it's not very convenient for me as I have a gated property which is pretty hard to find by itself and no one is home most of the time.

Where do you live? You could find some great prices in a good book store.

In Canada we have something called "Chapters," and "Indigo" which give great prices for great and wide selections of outstanding books.

That's where I get my books! I'm in Canada, BC. Books are pretty pricey though.

I rememebr a post in the forums on MMORPG, because I lurk there, don't need an account that someone was looking for books as well, granted he was interested mostly in Sci-Fi, let me see if I can find the post because a lot of good ideas were given.

Okay, found it, had to go through pages in the MMORPG forums:

Alan Moore and James Joyce.

Favourites by either: Watchmen and Ulysses respectively.
