Runescape, Maplestory, Diablo 2...
But nothing is as nostalgic as SURVIVAL PROJECT. Doing PvP with friends and spamming long range attacks... Playing soccer and having laughs at our failing. Doing raids on red dragon and wiping and blaming each other Good times.. Good times

Gametribe DOMO for me. Played that game from the first day of Closed Beta and played for well over a year until I tried FFXI on a whim and became hooked.
I still have very fond memories of my adventures in DOMO and the people I met there. It's sad that I probably won't ever go back, after FFXI all f2p games seem so shallow lol. xD

Runescape has many memories. We had a large clan, way before clan chat. Our first mission was an RP mission where we marched up to and took over wizards tower. Since we marched in a line, people kept asking if we were a clan and asked if they could join in. We marched on the tower, took it over, and locked people inside by closing the doors before they could leave, over and over and over. We evetually walked down the coast of lumbridge swamp with at least 25 people, then found a building, and that became our HQ. The building was packed. And at the end of the mission, everyone seemed like old friends.

NwN 1 for me as well, been playing it on and off through all expansions since it was first released. Had a whole D&D group from high school that all played it together on one roleplaying Forgotten Realms server and afew action ones just for fun, always new content, people, servers, mods and everything it can be remade over and over again till infinity and thats why I love it.

Probably Ragnarok since the community i met there and the guild i was in is still yet to be matched.
Surprising thing was it was a private server 3/3/2 but at the time it was the most popular server around and oh man was it fun. Whenever i go back to RO just for abit to play around on some random servers its also nice to level from 1-99 and go around looking for gears/cards and what not.

Ragnarok
I loved all experiences playing it but there was this one server that truly marked my gaming experience We were all just one big happy family, the Admin and GM's were so friendly, remember logging in and have them notice that I was a new player and promptly teaching me the basics and helping me meet the community In some time I was quite a overachiever on the server and got invited to be a GM, those were great times but sadly due to real life difficulties the Admin had to shut it down and it was all lost Great fond memories of it though.

Sure I have a few, but its not for nostalgic or "fun" value. I have been given credit in a few MMORPGs. If you knew my real name, you would see it in a few credit rolls in certain P2P and F2P. The one everyone here knows about is the Pandora's Box in Last Chaos.
For actual nostalgic value, it would be LoTRo, DDO, and WAR. I grew up on the tabletop/ pen-paper RPGs of these versions. Playing them brings back stories and memories of my youth and that quite a while back.

Anyway same for me, Ragnarok Online is immortal!~First played this mmo(and mmo in general) when my friend showed it to me at an internet cafe, back then I didn't have a computer so I quit after a short period because I didn't have much money. When I got my PC and internet connection after a month or so my friend(same one) invited me to play with him ona pserver (ProjectRO) and I said hell why not. I got hooked for like 3 years (on and off). It was the funnest (w/e) time I had in any game and no new game could replace it, ever. Partialy that's why I quit MMOs. |
