my swimming goggles have lenses which were made to fit my poor eyes, like my specs.

I also have the same. I even have a pair of goggles for when I play lacrosse so I can fit them under the helmet, or if I don't want them stripped off my face when I play basketball with my friends.

If I go to the beach, though, I wear contacts.

I used to have those $300 glasses you guys are talking about. Like I said, my mom works at an eye doctors office lols. But I don't want to pay that much money for something I am just going to lose or break again.

I bought some prescription sunglasses online for like $15, and they are awesome. So, I'm not doubting this site.

They did say it can take like a month or so to get your glasses (as they are custom made, and have to be manufactured by children in China) but it takes forever when I go to the eye doctor anyway. If I get one good pair from this place, I'll order a few more. :] That way I can have some backup glasses (which I need quite often.)

$15 for prescription sunglasses nice beats paying $300-$400 for them.

Ontopic.. sort of: My eyesight is gradually getting worse, I think i need to get my eyes tested but i dont want to wear glasses and i reckon I'll blind myself trying to put contacts in

Yeah, I only need to get new glasses every three to four years. These new ones are supposed to have special 'phoenix' lenses. Not much difference from my last one except they don't scratch. Like, ever.
Unless you drop them and step on em or something.

They smudge pretty easy though.

Anyways, I'm planning on getting contacts soon. I didn't get them last time because my doctor said I should wait another year.. but then he says I'll have to pay extra for classes on putting em in, which sounds good, but my family isn't exactly on a loose budget right now.
So I'll probably wait til a year, maybe when I'm 16, to get contacts. I dunno.

Off topic, birthday's in three weeks.

Sorry to bump my old thread, but I think there were a few people who were interested in the service.

I got my glasses in today (1 day short of 2 weeks) and they are awesome. I had to pay an extra $9 for the lenses though

I guess my eyes are too bad to qualify for the normal lenses...only off by one point too. It was supposed to take an extra 5 or 6 days because I had to get the "special" lenses, which it didn't really. Most people got theirs in 10 days, mine took 13, so it still wasn't 5 or 6 days.

They came in a hard plastic case (which I couldn't care less about) with a glasses wipe thing. Packaged nicely, not dented or screwed up at all.

I'm ordering like 4 more pairs tomorrow. Good deal.
