So I was swimming in the lake today...and we have OMG HUGE waves (like, literally 5 feet +) and got my glasses blasted off my face. I can't swim without my glasses, so I just did it. I've never had an issue before.

tl;dr, I had to look for cheap glasses online. I found a great site with great reviews:

As cheap as $8 for complete frame + lens package :O

I'm getting these:

What's wrong with them?

I don't know, eyeglasses that are prescription that are THAT low seems iffy to me.

I didn't check out the site, but I know that you can donate glasses so that someone else with your same prescription can use them, that site might be using something like that.

Also can't you buy glasses (just reading maybe?) for really cheap at drugstores?

You should have gone to specsavers. Because those green monsters look like they are worth $12.
My glasses are Red or Dead ones and thanks to the NHS I get £140 glasses for £40 (I can get some for free but designer FTW).

Specsavers is in the UK, I assume that Oisterboy is in the US, so he wouldn't get what you get.

They don't work if Oister is as blind as I am then he will have to buy prescription glasses. I wish I could spend $12 as apposed to $200-$400 for glasses.

Tell us the quality once you recieve them. I can get new lenses each year but need to wait two years for frames..

I've been wearing the same glasses for about 7 years now. Lots of dents here and there.
Planning on getting a new one.

Contacts are full of nothing but win. I used to wear glasses though. I was way too careful with them haha.
