That's pretty amazing. Too bad right now only people in the US are able to apply for beta. I just got a message saying I'll have to wait until they get to my area, but it took my application.

This post is not about the actual topic I just wanted to say screw David Parry that guy is a idiot. I have my own reason and I will not explain them. Good day to you all.

Exactly, until they tape it in action where the server is at least 100 miles away from the person playing I say it completely fails.

Now, if some crazy big company was on this like blizzard or ncsoft and they were developing it then I'd think *maybe* it would be possible.

I don't think David is the smartest developer ever but a lot of the time small companies develop new tech before big companies... Then these big companies see the tech these small companies came up with and buy them out... After that the big companies take credit for developing it...

One example would be when Microsoft bought out the small company "3dv Systems" for there 3D depth capturing camera tech... Now there going to launch the tech for XBOX 360 which they call "Project Natal" and everyone is giving Microsoft credit for the tech... That's just one that comes to mind since it was recent....

well this is the same thing as ONLIVE... you know the other thing, they announced like 4 months ago that does this same thing, with the virtual server and the live streaming of a game.

david just copied onlive, i have to applaud him on that when i see him somewhere... which i wont ...

Well, "copy" persay, is a very strong term
"influence" might be a more understandable phrase

well then influence... but i serously dont see what the difference is, between these two projects.

OnLive requires equipment and some other stuff. There's no mention of that on GaiKai.

GaiKai needs equipment as well, if you don't have a computer you can't use it.
