Omg, can you guys STFU. This is a dumb argument. Xbox has more games, yes. But you won't play 90% of them.
The PS3 has worse online. But you don't notice it anyways.
The Xbox has the dreaded red ring of death. Oh well, it doesn't happen to everyone.

If you get an Xbox360. You're going to need live.(All games coming out now usually have online features). Then in the end, you're only going to play demos, and one or two games. If you're not getting Live, don't even get a Xbox. The games you'll be playing will most likely be multi-platform. Or just not worth buying a whole system over.

For PS3 like I said there is more flexibility. Free online means you can relax, and play all games. The browser is handy, its never let me down. I love watching my animes on it. The PS3 basically has all the same games as Xbox360. All the games you'd play anyways. Only be missing out on few games. You can easily go to a friends house and play. Even Gears of War is thinking about going over to PS3 I heard rumors.
Other then that game, I don't know any Xbox exclusives anyone plays anymore. Around where I live.

Seriously I think you should get a PS3. Its getting better not worse. Same games come out for both systems. You can play your MMOs, and PS3 without worrying about a bill every year. I know from all my mates that when they're without Live, the Xbox doesn't even turn on. Once and a while they pop in Hockey.

Just get a PS3. Both systems basically have same games that you'd actually play. Well... Ps3 has couple more worthwhile exclusives people actually play now.. Even though the online is not as good as Xbox's, you won't notice.. nor even really care.

So far this thread screams PS3 over Xbox. Not because its a better system.. but because you'll use it more. Both systems are fine.

But watching all my DVD's, and Blurays, and Animes on my Ps3, plus the Sega emulator I have on it, with my giant fix of MMO's coming soon, and Demon's Souls in the mail. I find it much more worth while.

Ive had mine since release and yes it sounds like a vacuum the ps3 and the wii dont sound anything like it. Plus you really shouldnt be so single-minded/defensive the failure rate is what 70%? so you might be the 30% that got lucky.

Everyone knows its a common thing that happens to the xbox so saying yours is still working fine doesnt hide the fact that the "older" models were faulty. If he was to buy an xbox elite which is the smarter choice since most bundles are with the elite his chances of ever seeing the red ring are even smaller not to say it wont happen its just less likely to.

I hate these questions. The PS3/Xbox fanboys cry over their consoles every time.

I kind of own both and play my 360 most of the time. If your honestly going to cry over the prices of Xbox live (60$ for 13 months, you can also find it cheaper on Amazon) then don't even get a console.

Its not that people cry over the price since 15 pounds for 3 months is nothing. Its just that when comparing the two its obvious that one being free and one being payed for will come up.

ITT: People tell you to blindly buy the products they "fight" for because somehow they're emotionally invested in one console doing better then the other.

At the end of the day pretty much every post is just personal opinion and while those are good ways to push you to get more educated about both systems, they aren't what you should base your overall decision on.

Please don't make the same mistake I did when I called a vote on if I should buy a PSP and since there were five more people saying yes, I did(what a waste of $350).

Oh and FYI, AFAIK all Xbox 360's have three year warranties on them unless you buy used.

P.S. A big **** you to anyone dissing Xbox Live Arcade. If I didn't already own an Xbox 360(sold it to help someone out) I'd buy a system JUST for the arcade games. Shit's awesome best marketplace out of any system and TONS of games/variety to be had.
