imho this generation of gaming seriously saddens me to see so much mediocrity that a console quality it's measured by it's online and "home" functions instead of I don't know...it's freaking games

gimme a console with the best games on planet earth, I won't need multiplayer, EVER, I never saw a game like baldur's gate II being good because it had multiplayer, I never saw super mario world being one of the best games on history because it had multiplayer

nowadays the excuse it's that a game could be a pile of crap but the multiplayer justifies being "awesome", best example? Halo 3

Why do people think that General dislike towards a Console, is fanboyism?

ive been called a fanboy in just about every Ps3 VS xbox, and i dont know why, there are people that think that the ps3 is worse then the ****ing Phantom, and they are NEVER called a fanboy, but once a person says Xbox sucks, all the fans start ****ing pissing them selfs. its Sad really how all the xbox people say how ps3 Sucks entirely, but call people that hate the Xbox fanboys.

It's because you guys are only stating the pros about the PS3, and not the cons. You also aren't mentioning the good things, even if it's a little, about other consoles, just the cons.

You got to weigh things out.

they will obviously call you a fanboy or anyone who tends to dislike a console but just can't figure out a way to list the cons of the one they posses, but I say the ammount of fanboys for every console it's about the same

generally PS3 fanboys just say OMG X360 BECOS IT HAS RED LIGHT AND THEIR GAMES SUCKS BECAUSE THEY ONLY HAVE HALO 3 AND ALL THEIR GAMES IT'S ABOUT BLOOD AND ACTION THEY SUCK, YOU KNOW WHY PS3 ROCKS? there are ps3 fanboys and X360 fratboys as yathzee calls them all alike, don't get all heat up about that, instead try to debate with good arguements as to why you don't like the x360 and like the ps3 better, you won't be called a fanboy, at least not by me

I have both, but honestly i use my ps3 as nothing more then a blue ray player/storage system. I personally prefer xbox for gaming as it has a better game library(more of a opinion), and has better online for sure. I don't care if it cost money because i rather have quality. You can be playing the most popular game on ps3, and i only half the time get a group with people using head sets, which makes it really boring imo.Idk maybe it's just my bad luck but i barely ever hear anyone talk in ps3. A huge majority of my freinds have xbox live, and course gaming with friends is a plus no matter what.

Don't get me wrong ps3 is a great system for other things. I store a lot of music, movies ect in it. And use it for that to play in the backround while im doing something else. every now and then i'll watch youtube on my tv, and of crouse it's a great dvd player.

However whenever i get a cross platform game that comes out, i always choose xbox. And thiers so few games that are good for the ps3 that i buy,like mgs or....i guess resistance is ok. But i am looking forward to MAG, and wasn't kingdom hearts3 suppose to come out , think i heard something about that a while back.


If i had to choose between them it would be a hard decision as i use them both equally , just differently. I would say look at the kinda of games that come out for each system, and decide which you like better.

I must add in fairness, ps3 is a much more solid system. Not as in features/games but just the stuff it's assembled with is of better quality, and the system feel/behaves much more solid. Compared to the xbox that feels somewhat flimsy and cheaply assembled.

^^The people who use bluetooths, better yet, official PS3 bluetooths have WAY better quality and hearing ability compared to the shat mics you plug into your 360 controller. You hear constant "puffing" sounds when your friend or somebody else is speaking and the quality is just nasty. (You know the sound you make when you use words that start with like "B" or "P" or "F")

PS3/other brand Bluetooths have no such issues.

Well there a some pretty good offers for PS3 right now.. hopefully they last long enough for me to get em! , unless I find a real good reason for getting Xbox360 <_<

Well...for me personally the reason I wouldn't name any cons for PS3 is because I haven't experienced any...Except for the minor issue that my PS3 appears to not work on regular tvs though I feel its due to the fact that I gave my bro my Three pin connector thing for my PS2 since that cord was barely working for it. And after he came back from...living elsewhere he didn't have it so I got another cord for my PS3 from friend who CLAIMS it was a PS3 cable but I think it was for PS2 =.= Anyway...so yeah I can't play on normal TVs.

Don't really give a damn since I don't carry my PS3 out nor do I need to. AND I GOTS AN HDTV ANYWAY

Trust me...you won't. And thats looking at it from a non-biased view. PS3 just has way better games coming out
