TIME to CRASH THE FUN WOOOO! straight from the FAQ

Will Global Agenda be pay to play? How much will it cost?

Once it launches, will Global Agenda be pay to play? How much will it cost?

Yes, Global Agenda will be pay to play with a monthly subscription that helps cover the costs involved in running servers, supporting our users and continuously adding new functionality to the game. There is also expected to be an initial purchase price to purchase the game "box" or initial digital download of the game (following the model used by most popular pay-to-play MMO's on the market today).

At present, no micro-transactions are planned for the game.

Exact pricing and distribution channels have not yet been announced.

Nope it's B2P and then P2P

I picture this as sort of the same situation as TCoS. They overexpect members that will join... and in the end, they fail, and either have to go B2P/F2P or close down. It's not a good idea for a P2P FPS, especially in this economy. It's going to suck when this sees it's downfall... I hope they come to their senses before the game releases fully.

its a MMOFPS with RPG content, not a pure FPS, i see a market for it.

anyway i'd rather see it crash and burn than allowing moronic 11yo cheapskates play for free and destroy the community with their whining crying and *****ing.god these turds never bring anything good

maybe the game wont get omg100billion people, but as long as it gets enough people to have a fairly populated server and its profitable in the long term we'll be content, specially if the kiddos are still crying because they couldnt play...music to my ears

It's worth the P2P content if, like I said, it will keep delivering updates.

It's not a typical shooter game where you spend 2 hours playing a few rounds of game and then go off to do something else. The game have RPG content, which mean players may spend quite a time on their characters to see them develop and progress like an MMORPG game. Like many MMORPG, it can be P2P, that's pretty normal considering most of the other MMORPG/Shooter hybrid or MMOFPS/MMOTPS games are P2P.

My problem with this is that it's still instance Guild Wars-like.

It's not like Planetside where you can fight with 200-500 people at the same time, in a non instanced world.

I only have time to play one P2P game at a time, and I don't want my fee to go to an arena based shooter when I have others of higher quality(COD4, CSS, BF2).. The only thing Global Agenda can give me are the RPG elements.

I wish my normal FPS games had 3 person view, with character customization and to a lesser extent, clothing options, lvling and such..

However, when we have all this great FPS games, and stuff that is free like S4 and Gunz, I just can't see myself paying for this game or Crimecraft.

No, my MMO fee goes to a big involving MMORPG.

I would puchase this game in a heartbeat if my fee was not wasted on it.

This game had MMO facets such as a leveling scheme and a Planetside-esque system to capture persistent territory (Though alpha testers haven't seen anything like what they are promising that is near territory control yet except for PvP Base Raids (60 v 60 broken up into 10 man groups put into separate instanced sections of the base.) Though in its current state it is more a large lobby/market that everyone can hang out it (Though not that big so I think these things are going be instanced like D&D online.)

Though all Planetside fans (I being one of them) DO NOT I repeat DO NOT compare this game with the awesomeness that is Planetside, combat is completely different. The class system doesn't allow that much customization of skill sets (Though it gives some you can't be a medic, cloaker sometimes MAX unit with a rep gun when needed)

This game is good if you don't compare it to anything currently in the market except a more feature rich Unreal with slightly more tactical feel.

Again, not really a true MMOFPS. Just an FPS with RPG functions and a 3D overworld.

Don't look at it that way either, because not many people have played it yet, and it's only been in Alpha testing, which is really really really early for a game.

I freaking loved Planetside dude. Playing the first two months at released changed the way I thinked about games. Back before the cap I was in a 500 man battle over a base.. It was one of the highlights of my gaming life. So incredible.. So insane. I absolutely loved it. Bravo, fantastic!
