I attached my 2nd hard drive (via SATA) and now when I boot up my comp it won't get passed " Initializing..." it won't boot. I'm not sure why... Both hard drives are not formated... One has XP and the other has VISTA i want to format the XP one and then partition that so i can install windows 7 and Vista and then use the one that currently has vista on it as just storage for music and other files.... what am I doing wrong?
Help pleaseeee.

You have to set your primary boot drive to your internal drive. Hit f12 or something when it boots up and select your internal drive as primary boot drive. Or unplug your secondary HDD and boot it up.

Put the Disk you took out of another PC back in there.
Use the windows disk to format it. Delete the partition you create on it, to make it appear as factory new in the windows installation. Plug the disk back into the new PC.
