So I know that WK is coming out soon and I want to be prepared. I have played almost all mmos out there right now but I have never played a 2d side scroller like MS, LaTale or wind slayer. I would like to know of these three which one is the best overall so I can try it out, also if you know of others of the style i would like to get an opinion too.

Maplestory is the most popular but supposedly LaTale is the best. I sticked to MS the longest though.

LaTale is the best one IMO.

Unlike MS, LaTale has plenty of quests to keep you busy not as grindy and a good Community.

I didn't really like any of them. I liked Maplestory the most, though.

Imo Latale is also the best out of three but the only real downside for me is that you have to be lvl 80 (or was it 70?) for the 2nd job advancement

Yeah I found that to be a Turn Off as well.

They all suck latale gameplay is just plan boring. It is grindy it just mask it with quest that give good exp. Windslayer quest aren't rewarded that it makes you think what's the point. Pvp is the best out of all 3 very fun at a low lvl. Maplestory is more straight foward then all of them grind your *** off. It can be fun if you play with someone. I would say maplestory. To bad ghost online is gone the best 2d side scroll out in english. Companies that had the game were just terrible with.

So did i, but it was actually the first game that i ever stuck to for 2 months lol
it really surprised me. When i started out, i never even imagine i would make it to 80, but i made it to 84.

now, the REAL turn off are the flowers and girly design the game leans towards :/

Either one of the games you listed CAN be fun, as long as you have someone to play with...
My guild in Latale is pretty much what kept me going

And there was barely any people in the lower lvl fields in Ghost Online

What I really didn't like about Ghost Online was the Hackers. That game was just to easy to hack on.
