Rusty Hearts or something like that? Yeah I know of it. But like you said, it's in 3D. I liked them Castlevania games when they were all 2D.

Because...

In some cases they look better than most 3D MMOs, usually the gameplay is better, the community is usually better depending on how popular it is.

But I like top down 2D, sidescrolling is ok but I prefer it overhead. (Unless you want the Win-win situation of Tales of online, too bad it died...)

I like them because:

1- Most computers can run them with no lag.
2- No disturbing camera's angle
3- No Point n Click(most of them at least) thus increasing the fun in the game by jumpimg off high places, getting by traps, climbing mountains, etc.

All of that extends the gameplay IMO.

I like 2D isometric games over 3D because they usually have more action and better PvP, where you must actually aim your fireballs, arrows, etc. Also evade attacks not only by having 20% dodge on your items, but also moving on the battlefield and have those dodge % in work when you fail to do that with mouse aiming/ predicting where oponent will shoot (e.g. DarkEden, DragonRaja, well also D2 - not mmo tho)

Because I prefer grinding on 2D's more than 3D's. I can button smash instead of clicking!
It's much more fun, since I'll have a extra hand free.
