I'll definitely check out War of Kings. It's not that far in, and I hear Gladiator is in it; whom I like.

I love your signature.

On topic : I don't so much like reading the comic as I do the storyline itself.
I'd rather read a large chunk of the story than a bit at a time.

I'm actually thinking about picking up on Green arrow/black canary. Seems pretty cool, and I'm a sucker for archers. =P

I don't think sitting on ones backside and reading fiction is very productive.

If you need an escape from your sad life, go outside and do something beneficial instead of dipping into the fantasy world of your favorite tight pant wearing superhomo.

Not to be obscene, but as I'm sure most of us don't..I don't read comics to "escape from my sad life" I read them because they were an integral part of my childhood, and it gives me a good feeling to return to something I know will keep me entertained. Not to mention they far out class the entertainment value of their usually dumbed down spin offs. Be it film, video game, or series.

Though this talk of a "sad life" would be better put to use describing people who have no business posting negatively in a thread that they don't care for. If you like comics, or don't. There's no reason to involve insults. Please, kindly get the **** out lest you catch onto some sense of self worth from your incessant +1.

Back on topic.

H4wkeye, do you have a favorite character, or title out of those?

Neither is creating an account solely to troll a gaming forum.

The thing that's turned me off from comics, is the fact that if you want to get the whole story of a character, you need to jump around between series or 'titles' or whatever they're called... I remember reading Ghost Rider and then having the story just cut out, and continue in another character's series all together. Like going from Ghost Rider to Vengeance...

Though, I have a few comics, I can't really justify their prices here in Canada. Granted, the art work is splended at times, but does it really merit 40 lines of text? Its faster to get the jist of how skizzo a character is by reading their wiki, so why bother with the paperback if you're not a collector?

I don't read comic books like Marvel, DC, or that kind of 'superhero' genre. It just seems way too confusing and stuff, and the ones I have read aren't all too entertaining for me.
What I do read in the comic area lately are mainly Japanese manga. I've been looking into Full Metal Alchemist; the anime and the manga. I must say, I largely prefer the manga storyline to the anime so far that I've read.
Other things I've read are Calvin and Hobbes. A lot. I've read almost every strip by Watterson, and I really want to get that one book that has every comic in it [except for one that involves a washing machine, apparently].

Another thing that I read is Bone. I didn't catch the actual comics, but I do read the books, and I'm at a standstill because it's so hard for me to find them. I'm missing number.. 6? And I have 7, but I can't read it.
