It doesn't, we have novels. If we want to know about super heroes we can just use the internet or TV. Comics aren't really productive anyway, you would be better off reading a novel and getting something out of it. I read a few when I was younger, but that was it.

Comics are absolutely productive.

There is a reason that Watchmen is lauded as one of the best written works of the 20th century.

Just because it has colourful pictures doesn't mean it has less merit than a novel. Only silly people think that way.

I just don't like the idea of having to buy multiple comics just to get 1 story out of it, and each comic only having a few lines of text. The colorful pictures are what attracted me to them a long time ago, but now, they're just the same as any other 20 page picture book you can buy. That being said, if you want to read up/watch superheroes, there are many resources online and you can't forget shows/movies too. I also cannot stand the corny humor in some of them these days.

Each comic has a few lines of text? Comics aren't productive?

You see, this thread is for people who have read comics or do read comics. Not people who are guessing what the contents of a comic would be.

You're completely wrong.

I was just answering:

In this case, they don't interest me because there is literally nothing inside them. I have to jump through hoops and buy a bunch of comics just to get 1 story out of it.

First off, if there was LITERALLY nothing inside, they'd be empty with no pages. Stop misusing the word "Literally".

Secondly, you're wrong. You obviously don't know about comics, so where does that leave us? Where exactly do we take the discussion from here?

It's not subjective, comics usually have quite a lot of text on each page, always have, depending on the panels.

Also, you don't have to buy lots of comics. Hence why there are trade paperbacks.

Got anything of value or at least constructive to contribute to the thread, or not?

Fine, the only comics I have ever read were bionicle comics that I use to get in the mail when I was like 6, I didn't like them.
