Ok, ya got meh...Mind you Deadpool may beat Wolverine most of the time.

I think that we both realize that Wolverine could kill him any day of the week if he actually wanted to. (But he'd just come back =/)

I mean with W #154 He didn't even want to fight Deadpool like that D: But Deadpool is a money hungry scumbag and Wolvie wasn't in the mood and such and its not like Deadpool can kill him so the hell would he care.

And drugging him was a ***** move =/

But I was just naming someone afterall we both know that Deadpool has gotten his arse handed to him from much lesser enemies and such and yah.

And even though it may have been cheapish Wolverine did git him in Deadpool #27

I wonder what the new releases will be like..It'll probably remind me of a series I completely forgot but always wanted to look up on, and I'll go home feeling so fulfilled.

Nah, I think we both realise you challenged the wrong guy. That's what I think we both realise.

Wolverine lost to Deadpool because Deadpool is better. Wolverine has been more than willing to fight and Deadpool has surpassed him. Wolverine ignored him, he uppercutted Kitty Pryde and then Wolverine went nuts. Deadpool was dodging him and puncturing his lungs. Wolverine managed to skewer him because Deadpool stopped concentrating. Not saying that Wolverine can't beat Deadpool, since a lot comes down to writers, but Wolverine has been beaten by Deadpool in his own comic more than once. Wolverine is relatively slow compared to Deadpool, too.

You judged them by my avatar, and when I proved that it doesn't mean a think because Deadpool won that fight, you tried to get out of it. You obviously hadn't read it when you said that.

He's simply a better fighter. If Wolverine didn't have an unbreakable skeleton, he'd have been dead.

Yeah, I mean, Dark Reign is going well but it needs to have a HUGE pay-off, or people are gonna be annoyed.

I just hope they're going somewhere with this.

Im always up for reading one if its in my hands, but i wont go out of my way to buy it.

I find it fairly annoying to read the little bubbles of words that go along with the graphics.

Id just prefer to not have to focus on pictures and be able to situate the environment to my liking, thru the words of the writer. And just go from there.

Its only cuz writers don't make any sense I mean frikin Daken beat Deadpool.

I wasn't saying that Wolverine was going to kick his *** per say.

I just meant that there is no explainable reason why Wolverine shouldn't be able to rip the shit out of Deadpool =/ In the past at least as Deadpool has become slightly overpowered healing wise.

I'd say Wolverine could beat Deadpool. But if it was a fight to the death Deadpool would win cause yeah...his unfair advantage

But we both know they'll never let Deadpool kill off wolvie :P

I never understood the point of comics when you have television, movies, and actual books. Comics were only cool for the artwork, as the stories were too short to be desirable to me even when they were good, and I didn't feel like buying a hundred issues of one comic in order to get the entire story.


I grew up watching things that were probably based off of comics or could have easily been made into comics. I also read stories about superheroes and such, but they were actual in-depth stories.


Especially now, I see it as pointless to read comics. You used to hear people talk about these older comics and how amazing they were; the stories, the illustrations, and the writing style. Now it seems like no one talks much about comics that were made more recently, they seem to refer back to older comics as those are the far superior ones.



We also have all these terrible fad styles like manga that have caught on like a bad disease and need to be destroyed. If only we had more comics like the original Daredevil or X-Men, then perhaps I'd read them more.

Daken is superior to Wolverine, so that's not really a credible argument.

Wolverine has wounded Deadpool up on more than one occassion, he just hasn't beat Deadpool as many times, and Deadpool generally always has the upper hand. He also has the additional ability to drive his opponents nuts by annoying them during the fight. His incessant talking and blabbering was enough to muddle Daredevil's senses, for one.

You can do things in comics that you can't do in television, movies OR books. It's a medium all its own, with benefits that no other medium has. If you disagree, go tell me how well the comic book adaptations hold up compared to the comics themselves. Nowhere close, with a few exceptions. Even the amazing ones aren't close to having the same feel.

With but a few exceptions, the stories are better now, I think. They're certainly way more intricate and involving. Then again, character depending, comics have always had intricate stories. People who view them as simple BECAUSE they're comics have obviously never taken time to read one.

Only time I've been in the local Comic Shop was to try and sell a binder full of Pokemon cards. I'm not going back there!

Any series you would recommend new readers out there? Somethign to really get you hooked?
