Some cops are sickos. None of you should hero worship them.

Personal example: A uncle of my friend was drunk and got stopped. He went for a fishing pole in his truck and the cops thought he was going for a gun and they blew him away in cold blood. The family successfully sues the city and wins a big settlement. Granted, no amount of cash would ever bring him back.

I hope the family of the girl sues for everything that they can get. The white knights here raging that cops can do anything they want should get a grip.

Why the **** was he going for a fishing pole if he got stopped by the police? It is quite obvious that that was a bad idea, and a bad example. Granted he didn't deserve to be shot, but then again he was also driving drunk and could have killed someone who was TRULY innocent unlike himself.

Well, according to the police he was belligerent and hostile. He led them on a chase to his house and pulled into the driveway. He was out of the truck when for some stupid drunk reason he decided he needed his fishing pole. There where like 3 or 4 cop cars there and when one opened fire on him because they felt he was about to pull a gun they all opened fire and there was no saving him by the paramedics, they put too many holes in him.

but please dont tell me him being drunk is an excuse for you... ill use what the people are saying about the girl, people dont think the best in stressful situations, possible threat to live, end that threat. think about it...

The problem was she didnt do anything to break the law! THATS THE DAMN PROBLEM! She was trying to run away from a family argument which, although bad, does not warrant the cop to taze the girl because he was afraid he wouldn't know where she would go.

When a person runs from the cops after breaking the law than I completely understand, but when a mom takes her daughter to the police to help quell a family argument and the girl runs away... a taze is not necessary!

He warned her to stop.That alone is enough.No matter what if a cop tells you to stop,you stop.If you run,that is an indication that you did something bad.

No offense but it was his mistake.1st he was driving drunk,which could lead to him getting killed or more important killing someone else.2nd if the cops pull a gun on you and tell you dont move,you dont.Why did he go for his fishing pole??So,not to sound careless,but it was his mistake.
