"I'm gay.". Then the store guy looks uncomfortable and Bruno does something to exacerbate it. Pretty much all that would have happened. |

I saw it with my partner. We sat thru the whole thing disgusted at the whole thing.
Note, there were other gay couples beside us there and they thought the same thing that I am writing below. Nothing about the over exaggeration of an overly gay person was remotely amusing, and just pushed the stereotype over the edge of almost bashing. Yes I realize he was totally making fun of homophobia to an extent, but most people will not realize that. After the movie ended, hearing the teens already quote the movie in horrible gay accents, and calling each other fags, basically proved that no matter how tounge in cheek anything is, there is a time and place for certain subjects, and with the struggle that the glbtq community is having for thier own civil rights, this was pretty much the wrong place and time..and very done in poor taste.. ALSO THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.. I wish I could have recieved a refund for this movie. |

Lol. I knew it was going to be like this. From the start I knew I shouldn't watch that movie. It'll only ruin the character Bruno from The Ali G show. Because like Borat he'll need to go over board.. and probably act super gay in the movie. In the show he doesn't act so gay.. and stuff he says and interviews are actually funny, and you don't feel awkward watching it.
I guessed 100% correctly on how the movie was going to me. Now excuse me as I call up my friends whom watched it and tell them, "I told you so".

i liked it, im geh, wasnt bad. the gay stereotypeness got alittle annoying, but its no biggy. im a big boy, i could handle it without taking offense. ive seen movies much "gayer" than that lol (such as "Another Gay Movie"), but those other movies arent mainstream and noone except other gay guys will watch them for the most part. if u feel uncomfortable because ur straight, sorry fa' ya.

The last comedy movie a friend recommended me to see was The Hangover. He said it was ''HILARIOUS''.. but just as I thought, when I actually watched the movie I only chuckled a few times. I'm sure the same thing would happen with this. |

I honestly think this is more uncomfortable to watch for a gay guy rather than a straight one ;-;. Then again, how would I know for sure? They go wayy too far with the nudity in this one. My eyes were violated.
