Although, for the leveling, you need to spend tons of astros (or ely).
He had a full animal set (+20%) with puzzles (+20% if puzzled perfectly) + most likely an iris stone (+40%) and then maybe zodiac sign + constellation ring (+6%) all that adds up to 86%, and then there's ofcourse Nostrums for 1-50 that adds another 50% = 136% (also peach cans that is useable at any level, same effect as nostrums).
That + grinding makes it really easy to reach 80 in 2-3 days.

So if I don't get cash shop I'm screwed?

thats not what was said. you can still reach 80 with no problems, it will just take longer.

It's insanely hard though. I'm level 33 and I get around .20% a kill from people that take about 10 seconds to kill. That's 5000 seconds of killing and about 1000 of waiting fo them to spawn. That's 1 level every 10 hours. I fail at this game.

Still, quests only give like 5% which isn't a huge help.
