@Anrick, I would move #5 to #2. xD
I always stend to stick to a game a way longer while when I'm in a guild or have friends then when I don't have any friends, no matter how bad the game is.

Thats true, not all tips can be applied to every game, but most of them =P

about the tip you quoted, thats the idea, killing higher level monsters can give much less exp, but its way more fun due to dificulty
