"You really think you should be wasting all those supplies on me?" David asked, grunting a little as he felt the stimpack enter his leg.

Slick turned his head to David.

"See any of us injured? Nope, except the major, but I guess he's tough enough to handle one stairwell", Slick chuckled and turned his head to Tom.

"I am honored. I get to choose what we do next? Well we sit down on our as**s and take a breather"

Slick watched Edward, he wanted to see Edward's reaction.

"Aww, does little Slick need a breather? Let's see."

The Defender lowered his rifle slightly and addressed one of the Ferals charging up at them.

"Mr Feral, you mind if we stop this for a coupe minutes so my boys can catch there breath?"

Unphased the Ghoul continued his run, leaping towards Edwards and attempting to bite his neck, but was met with the hard butt of a rifle instead of soft neck flesh. Stumbling back down the ramp the ghoul's head exploded as a three round burst ripped through what used to be a skull.

"Don't think they going to let you take a break and bake cookies Jessica. NOW LET'S GET OUR ASSES INSIDE THE BUILDING LADIES!

Sparks once we get inside you welled that plate steel back on the door frame and maybe we can finally have out backs to some cover. Maybe then we can stop and you can make tea for everyone Slick."

"Ahahah, we'll surely remember this until we die. Now lets move out!"

The team went up a few more staircases. Tom peeked out of a window and there were massive amounts of Ferals outside waiting for them.

"They seem to be waiting for something.."Tom said while cautiously looking out the window. "Stay low and stay quiet. I've got a bad feeling about this."

Slick was pointing his thumb at Edward while walking the stairs.

"This guy always knows how to put me in my place, gotta respect that, but you still better expect some extra "flavor" in your tea", Slick then turned his head to Tom, "You always have a bad feeling about stuff".

Slick slowed down and looked from one of the windows. He watched as the Ghouls stared at something.

"Will you look at that, wish I had a camera, we could get a nice family photo of them"

Slick turned his head to Jack.

"You gonna patch him now? Because if you are, we have to leave you guys behind"

"I don't have the equipment with me to patch him up, All I got left is five stimpack's and half a needle of Med-x. I don't think David should be out there, but if you find some supplies bring them to me. But I'm gonna' have to stay with him, I can't have him bleed out down here on his own can I? or get cuahgt by Ghouls?" Jack said putting pressure onto David's wound, and injecting him with the last of the med-x.

"Don't worry about me, I can handle a few ghouls." David said, loading his laser pistol. "You guys go ahead, I'll cover your backs."

"That's a good deed you're doing there, son. I'll set up a status check on you every 5 to 10 minutes. We'll come back for you. Move!" Tom said while patting David's back. A few moments later they had reached the top; the roof. Tom slowly opened the door with his rifle ready to fire. "The roof is clear. Move to the next exit.

David sat against the wall of the fort, wondering if he was actually going to die. He was bleeding pretty badly, but he'd been through worse before. "Come on then, you feral bastards." David muttered into the shadows.

"You sure it's just ok to leave him there? If that leg gets infected, there's only one way out of it", Slick said to Tom.

Slick entered the roof. The building was much higher than it looked from down below. He pulled a cigarette and light it up, leaving it hanging from his mouth. The day was at it's brightest, meaning if you watched the sun, you could easily get blinded for a moment.
Slick held his laser pistol in his left hand and kept going towards the other exit from the roof.
