Actually 4 hydra cards are not the most efficient way to do this. To understand why you need to understand that the calculation for damage (extremly simplified mind you) goes like this:
Total Damage = Base Damage * Size * Type * Element Keep in mind this is a gross oversimplification to enunciate the point clearly. Now as you can see its more effective to add %'s that are seperated from each other, as they add to the one before it. For instance with 4 hydra cards and an assumption of 100 damage to make things simple: X = 100 * 1 (varies with weapon and cards, we'll assume 1 as a sword) * 1.8 (4 hydras at +20%) * 1 (Assuming no other cards in weap. and non elemental armor). Using your Quad bloody weapon we achieve 180 damage. Not bad, but could be better. Now if instead we use a double bloody double boned weapon (boned = +20% vs medium size) X = 100 * 1.4 * 1.4 * 1 We now achieve 196 damage. An improvement of 11.25%. Relatively minor, sure. But that could mean the differance in a pvp match, and its not any harder to achieve, so why not? (As stated, all calculations are grossly oversimplified, and dont take into account min / max hit, armor, and the much more complicated expressions needed therein. It does however illustrate the point that %'s from seperate "sections" stack and multiply within themselves in a sort of exponential equation) |
