Default Needs Computer Nerds!! Opinion!!

I'm currently trying to decide which External HardDrive to buy...and I need recommendations....

Also by this mean, please explain the difference between FireWire and Usb difference to me please.

seagate or maxtors HDD's FTW

usb is what is in front your computer near the drives but i think some computers have them in the back.

as for firewire i think thats all on macs not sure im not a BIG computer nerd

Actually, I need a precise External HardDrive...like the name of the HD...I knw what's USB...just not much on firewire.

Firewire is alot faster then USB, but not so commen.
It can be gotten for PCs, but most often it's not on the board. Instead you need a PCI card with Firewire connections.

Anyway, I can't really recomend any external drives, because I don't know much about which ones are good.
But really, I suggest you to get an internal drive instead. They are about half the price of the externals.
Or, get a good internal and get an external case for the drive. Those can be gotten for about $20-$30

Just get a USB one which you can bring everywhere knowing that is probably a computer with USB where you are going. o_O

External looks betters, and I can lock the harddrive and bring it almost everywhere I go

Lol Rage, an internal will save u less space. Why does it have to look better? Its freakin in the computer. U could bring this anywhere too..its freakin internal.


But i like Seagate.
