Default Are quests worth it?

When I was doing my quests, I had barely enough mesos for armor.

I started grinding again at lv 18 and at that time I was able to buy my lv 25 stuff when I hit 24. Sure those quests got me to a high level fast but the mesos were not gained well at all.

Only a select few in particular are. Jane and the Wild Boar at level 30 is an example of one. Do your class quests given by your job instructor, and if you can go to New Leaf City, talk to Icebyrd Slimm and he can give you some good exp. That's all I know of (I quit MS a while ago and haven't been below level 30 for years <_<)

With the decreased EXP curve and the availability of a pq for almost every single level range, quests aren't done as much as they were in the past. In my opinion, nowadays, the only quests worth doing are ones that grant you equipment or items that would be very hard or impossible to get elsewhere. There's too many other options that give more experience than quests now.

Teal deer; only do ones that give equipment or items you need.

i would say apart from the class quests for advancement its really up to you.

if you prefer questing by all means do them, or if grinding mobs is more you thing, ignore the quests and go hunt some mobs.

Quests with good rewards are worth it

But Party Quests are much more efficent.

I generally end up doing quests that give scrolls as rewards, the others... yeah you can skip. If the quests however, involve the monster I grind on then yeah, I do it.

Do it when you can because with 800 quest you gain a medal that gives +2 to every stats.

That works if you don't have a Spiegelmann necklace; and even if it isn't +2 to EVERY stat, one point won't make much difference. Even then, why do 800 quests when you can just do about 8 to get the sheriff star?
Plus, you get the boost to your defences, and hp/mp if you decide to scroll it with those orbs.

Cause the Dep Star quest is hella annoying and hard.
There are a few quests that give out att scrolls. Those are pretty much the ones you should be doing.

Quests for xp are wasteful.

Finding those quests with great rewards are searchable. I think sleepywood has that guide.

Necklaces and medals are on two different slots.
