IMO- long story short, I can't run stuff like TF2, or Huxley on even the bare basics of graphics without it running like a sloppy turd, while I can run EQ2, FFXI, perfectly on their highest settings. Should I get a Laptop upgrade? well I don't know because I am computer illiterate.

My Graphic Card is a ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics,
I have 3GB RAM
147 GB HDD
An AMD Athlon(tm) X2 Dual-Core QL-60 (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz
32 Bit System Vista
And DirectX 10

Tell me If I'm missing anything or should just tell you guys my dxdiag Txt file :x.

Get a new laptop, there's nothing you can upgrade on a laptop that will be of use for TF2 or Huxley.

Yeah. A new laptop/desktop would be nice. I heard laptops aren't very upgradeable.

In fact, depending on the model you can upgrade your laptops CPU (not all laptop cpus are soldered into the mobo) and GPU.
Downside is you'd paid more then a new laptop for those alone. =/

@GPU:
Even if it wasn't for the card being ATI, it would be extremely rare.

It's definitely not possible in any other random laptop with a non state of the art and enthusiast rated ATI card (where they at least make cards that fit nvidia slot standards exist).

@OP:
You provide pretty irrelevant information in your post.
Important are not the specs but the brand and model name of your laptop.

Well, for TF2 and other source games, you have the choice of using an autoexec config. This config dramatically increases your FPS in exchange of making the game look worse than horrible (I use them for TF2 and CS:S)

It makes it look worse than Maplestory...I don't see a point of playing a 3D game just to make it looks like a bad 2D game..I've used the scripts before on an older computer, I couldn't tell the difference between RED and BLU.
