stupid opinion from my friend about the meaning of runescape

lol, i have to say at the first. two friends of mine are ESL and they lik to play runescape. but the sad thing is that they think the word "runescape" is actually made up with two words "run" and "escape"

lol, funny huh?

in my opinion is that "runescape" = " rune" and "scape" but i dont know how to explain to them, they were lik ahhhahahhahh and made no believe to my words........:o :o :o :o

There is no problem in your friends believing what the believe about the makeup of runescape.

But it is worth noting that runes are part of runescape, and that rune armor and weapons found in runescape. And there are sites that are called rune this and rune that.

But maybe they thought the name was run and escape from the number of people they see running in the game.

well if you look up the word "runescape" it trys to correct you and the first thing it says is "run escape" so maybe there on to somthing.

read the title of the website, guys.....

it shows " RuneScape" (with captial) which means the two words seperate from the letter "e" and letter "s"

and think about wat is the game about, is it about rune-scape or about running away from each other???lol

You know the old man in lumbridge how he was the first player?
Perhaps his name is Rune?:confused: :confused:

So he could have a really valuable cape, like the original lava cape, so RuneScape could actually be looked at as Rune's cape!:confused:

Thats how the guys (2 guys) came up with runescape in the first place. "Lets put a couple of words together and see what comes up" (or something along those lines

). I picked that up when I first read about runescape in a gaming magazine back in about 1999

I don't think that the name comes from 'Run' and 'Escape'.
