i bought a DV7 about 5 months ago and already I've sent this ***** back 3 times, what's worse I'm thinking I might have to send it back AGAIN!
Does anyone else have this laptop? Have you had any problems with yours? What makes it worse the customer representative is either an *** whole who gets snooty if I'm not quiet sure how to do something and he has to walk me through it. Or and I get some outsourced Indiana lady that barely speaks above a whisper, with an accent so bad I can't understand her. The lesson dear reader: Don't buy HP |

I have an HP dv9000 laptop and I've hated it ever since I bought it three years ago. I've sent it in twice now, once a year after I bought it and once a few months later. Since then I've just given up on it, and I'm using it until it dies (which is technically 2 years ago). I'm getting a new computer later this month and I CAN'T WAIT. This loud/heavy/heat protruding piece of junk will no longer be causing me trouble!
Totally agree with your final statement. Say no to Hp laptops. |

Yeah, I don't trust HP after my mom's wireless card just kept worse and worse, until finally it wouldn't connect no matter how many times you restarted or diagnosed and repaired. Even plugging a Cat5 into it didn't work.
HP lappys suck. Their printers, they're aight. |

The DV 7 runs for almost 1500 bones, so I figure $900 isn;t a bad price if I get some sucker. Also, does anyone have and idea on how to get dust from behind the screen? Last edited by Tripp; 08-13-2009 at 12:05 AM. |

Uhm, I'm sorry, I have an HP dv7 and I bought it 2 months ago, it has worked like a CHARM.
Plus everything that came with it works really well. The only problem I had is that on start up of Windows I get weird clicking sounds with the speakers, but it's not that bad. |

I've been thinking about buying this refurbished one. :x http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...017&CatId=1902
Does it really have a lot of problems? Because the specs make it seem like a great laptop aside from the video card. What was wrong with it when you had to send it back? |
