x86 is 32 bit.
Windows 7 is just as fast, if not faster than XP. The nice thing about Win7 is, is that it can make the best use out of newer hardware. If your having a temperature problem, a new OS isn't going to change that. Consider dusting your machine, or have it dusted by someone who knows what they are doing.

Also, in theory, a new OS does change temperature.

Both is fine. It really depends on what you want. x86, which is basically 32-bit, will run any programs on the market, but is going to be replaced by x64 in a few months, since OEM companies like HP, is shipping more and more laptops/desktops with x64. x64, is pretty much what I said before, but can only run like 99%, and not all run perfectly at launch. Personally I'd get x64, since I'm a gamer, and apparently x64 is slightly faster.

Alright. I've seen a lot of videos on how to clean a laptop and read some guides and I will try to clean the fan. I have it for 2 years now and has never been cleaned so I suppose it will have a lot of dust inside. Even when my laptop is just simply switched on its avg. temperature is 50°C <.<
EDIT: Ok I cleaned my fan, heatsink. Weren't too dusty. Installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Both Core temperatures are ~50°C. I guess my fan just sucks. Will have to save some money for a better cooler.
