Default New computer - need opinions/help

I'm getting my paycheck on the 24th and I'll be spending about $800 on a computer/desk/wireless desktop card. I've been looking around Bestbuy and Walmart for a computer and I've found one I really like.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218097997141

I'll upgrade the graphics card asap. I need some suggestions for a $100-$200 card. Also, will I need to get a new power supply/cooling system to use the card? A friend keeps insisting I'll need to upgrade those along with the graphics card.

I'M NOT GOING TO BUILD A COMPUTER. I DON'T WANT TO. DON'T TELL ME TO GO TO NEWEGG. I DON'T CARE IF I SAVE A BUNCH OF MONEY ON THE PARTS. I DONT WANT TO PUT IT TOGETHER. AND I DONT CARE HOW EASY YOU SAY IT IS.

You might want to consider this

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218089773975

Its 4GB DDR3 , 640 GB Hard drive compared to your 8 GB DDR2 ( I think its overkill) and 1TB Hard drive. Theres a small difference between the DVD drives as well. And you save like 230 bucks.

This might be a good build as well

Well, I'd recommend going to
http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ and picking a pre-made one and customize it for a more bang for your buck if you don't want to build it.

But that's just me, I'm clueless at this stuff and my friend told me to go there if I ever wanted a PC. ;z

Any suggestions for a video card? I like the HP's 300w power supply.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218090910617

Good card? Think that the HP with this card would be able to run pretty much any game I threw at it?

I would recommend building your own or visit cyberpower. To answer your question, I would recommend ATI 4850 because 300W is too low! That's the problem with buying retail PC, they put crappy PSU!

You don't have to put it together yourself if you ever decide to build in the future, all you have to do is call some of your local computer repair shops and ask them if they assemble computer parts, I called one near my home, and they were willing to do it for 50 dollars, but I went ahead and built it myself anyway, because I'm a cheap bastard.

If he doesn't want to be a PC builder, let him stay as a PC buyer. It's helping America since the PC costs higher for the same, and more taxes, equaling better schools, meaning better presidents. Or more bombs for Iraq..
