Just finished reading up on that overclocking guide, Sakumo, for i7.
It was actually plenty helpful, not all i have to do is hope that i don't screw over my components, trying to find the sweet spot ![]() EDIT: Easily hit 3.4 ghz by bumping up the settings a bit. Its prime 95 stable too (all cores <70 celcius while the cpu's tempis around 54). Ima try and push it a bit more. Last edited by Liteninja; 08-15-2009 at 11:05 PM. |

I've heard intelburntest is a more reliable source of knowing your cpu is running stable, you'll need to run 10 tests or something like that.

Yeah i made it to 3.8ghz (somehow, lol)
I couldn't quite make it to 4.0, but i blame my crappy case and semi-mediocre mounting job for the cpu cooler. Eitherway, im happy for the results, and hope its stable enough. Ill look up intelburntest |

Nope, none of the pc power and cooling powersupplies are not modular. Just a few cable ties and an empty drive bay(s) can work wonders you know. It still constructs airflow though, sadly.
