if you plan to upgrade your pc to somewhat current, you are gonna need more than $240....

$$ for more RAM (although thats fine for now)
$$ for better power supply
$$ for better graphics card
$$ for a faster CPU

yea...more than $240. Though if you want, you can look for parts with decent price:ratio rating.

It's not worth the effort trying to find parts that we recommend. Since your computer NOT compatible with anything for the future..So instead of $240 closer to the next gaming/casual gaming computer, you'll be spending $240 toward something that won't last for more than a year, even with upgrades.

Or this:

I have heard of all of the brands. Wintec is a local brand around these parts, but it performs like any other brand, but is less famous. Raidmax, my brother ran his 4850 on it for a few months before it burned out from age and from too little power, but the 4670 consumes a lot less power. It comes out less, performs better, but will have to be put together by yourself. Putting it together is EASY as saying 1-100. It's a little difficult, but just come back to this forum and people can tell you the steps.

I used newegg.com or if you're Canadian, newegg.ca. They don't ship internationally I believe. I do suggest you pick my build since you can actually play games with it. Or if you don't play games, you can still get a better performance, with a few tweaking to it. Also, the burn out was caused by a graphics card that require more power than it can supply 24/7, yes my brother runs his computer 24/7, and the power supply can't handle it..But your build shouldn't take much more than 200-350W, which the power supply can easily give off.

custom building your own computer is always, ALWAYS better than buying off a company/online market. Here are some pros:

1) Cheap
2) Better performance
3) Knowledge about hardware and software increases
4) No service fees

In all ways, custom building a computer is the way to go. Now, if you don't know how to build one, you can research the web to learn....or get a friend to help you. Its easier than you think~ (apparently)

Pretty much, but you forgot:
5. Know how to replace part, instead of paying some random guy to fix it and pay like $100 for a $20 fix
